This afternoon, at 18.00h at Puio field and at 18:30h at Matigoxotegi, the tenth edition of the Donosti Masters Cup will start. A total of 94 teams from 6 different countries will participate, which is a new historical record for this event that combines sport and tourism. This year, Ukraine will participate for the first time in the tournament, and Spain, France, Mexico, Peru and Argentina will repeat their participation. 

At the national level, there will be teams from different autonomous communities, with Euskadi, Madrid and Catalonia contributing the most teams. There will also be representation of teams from Navarra, La Rioja, Aragon, Valencia, Canary Islands and Asturias. As for the local participants, Real Unión, Zarauz and Pasaia are the favorites in the men's category, and Eibar, Oiarzun and Dumboa in the women's category. 

The tournament, which will be played under the 7-a-side soccer modality, has 4 male categories, over 35, 45, 50 and 55 years old, and 1 female category; over 30 years old. The group phase will begin this afternoon in the two fields mentioned, and will continue tomorrow morning in eight fields: Matigoxotegi, Berio, Puio, Martutene, César Benito, Jesús Mari Zamora (Pasaia), Mikel Odriozola Stadium (Beraun), and Ugalde-Ventas (Irún). The final phase and the finals of each category will be played on Saturday afternoon in four playing fields: Matigoxotegi, Puio, Martutene and César Benito. In the women's category, the group phase and the final phase will take place on Saturday morning at the Berio field.
