The Donosti Masters Cup already has the dates for its 13th edition

The international veterans’ football tournament will take place from 28 to 30 May 2027, featuring six categories and an expected participation of more than one hundred teams.

The Donosti Masters Cup has announced the dates for its next edition. The international veterans’ football tournament will return to San Sebastián from 28 to 30 May 2027, on a weekend that will also have an added advantage for football fans: it will not coincide with the UEFA Champions League final. This is certainly something that many teams and participants will appreciate.

The tournament will reach its 13th edition and will once again bring teams from different countries together in Donostia for three days of competition and to enjoy the atmosphere that characterises the tournament. Last year’s edition featured 102 teams from 8 countries, with a total of 252 matches played. These figures are expected to be maintained this year, further consolidating the Donosti Masters Cup as Spain’s largest international veterans’ football tournament.

The 2027 edition will feature five men’s categories and one women’s category, welcoming different generations of footballers: Women’s +30, Men’s +35, +40, +45, +50 and +55. The format is designed so that there is no age limit to enjoying football, with the desire to play ultimately mattering more than age.

In addition, teams will be allowed to include up to two players who are up to five years younger than the minimum age for their category, making it easier for groups of friends and former teammates to participate together.

With the dates now confirmed, the organisation is already working on preparations for a new edition, with registration opening in October.
